In the realm of fire-rated opening protectives, Won-Door continues to innovate and deliver fire-rated door systems with unmatched value and design. The recent release of two new products have caught the eye of building managers and has been featured recently in FacilitiesNet, an established media outlet covering the people and projects that define the facility management industry.
Our newest product enhancement, Won-Door’s FireGuard™ Corner Bi-Part was of special interest concerning its retro-fit-friendly design when FacilitiesNet picked up Won-Door’s press release on June 4, 2025 . Corner Bi-Part favors installation and service in confined areas where egress and fire-rated performance are essential and radial configurations are not feasible or unwanted. Rated up to 90 minutes and complying with NFPA and IBC codes, this design aids in removing unnecessary walls in favor of Won-Door’s 90° bi-parting system.
Won-Door’s recently released FireGuard™ Slim is also disrupting the fire-rated door industry. By turning the heads of Architects and Building Managers alike, it’s poised to be the “modern replacement” for fire-rated swing door pairs on magnetic hold opens.
Won-Door’s Vice President and General Manager, Johnny Cordero stated, “Won-Door FireGuard™ Slim will and should be in every new multi-floor building construction and retrofit. Period. It costs nearly the same as a swing-pair, carries less maintenance for owners, and frees designers in a way only this system can; by allowing the full width of the corridor to be utilized with no exposed hardware or frame-downs/ins necessary for double-egress swing doors.”
The editorial team at FacilitiesNet featured Won-Door’s FireGuard™ Slim as part of their April spotlight, joining a list of industry notoriety for the new product.
