After its $90 million renovation in 2015, the original 1992 Won-Doors in the Peterson Auto Museum remain in operation in the building. The doors provide exceptional protection in points of access to keep the show floor open and spacious, and let the vehicles and the architecture do the talking. In 2017, the Petersen Auto Museum was given the American Architecture Award, with the Chicago Athenaeum saying that the redesign “transforms the Petersen building into one of the most significant and unforgettable structures in Los Angeles.”
