Won-Door FireGuard™ Access Control
All Won-Door FireGuard fire doors have Access Control options available as an option in the specification. This option effectively creates a deployable access control barrier. It can be used to compartmentalize and/or limit access into selected areas of a building.
Choose the FireGuard model that is appropriate for your application, download the specification and include the optional Access Control language.
OPTION: Level 1 Access Control: The Exit Device shall not respond when pressed until activated/over-ridden by signal from smoke detector or fire alarm. A rigid jamb stop and key switch shall be provided for authorized operation of the door assembly. A signal from the smoke detector or fire alarm will automatically override the access control feature. At least one key-switch is required.
OPTION: Level 2 Access Control: The door(s) shall be programmable such that when in the access control mode, the exit device(s) shall not respond when pressed until activated/over-ridden by a signal from the smoke detector or fire alarm. Door(s) shall also include a steel sliding jamb, rigid jamb stops and 10 gauge steel vertical reinforcement to the lead post. An electromagnetic locking brake shall be added to the motor operator assemble to provide 400-500 pounds of resistance to manual opening. Key-switch/alarm module shall be provided to open/close/reset the door(s).
Note: Level 1 and Level 2 Access Control options are independent systems and may not be specified together.
